I'm particularly fond of the BOff seating it has because it doesn't feel bloated from having too many of any one type. I personally highly recommend the T6 Tactical Star Cruiser (Endeavor-class, part of the T6 Odyssey-class line). Starship traits matter far more than the actual ship does, as long as the BOff seating isn't terrible. I think just about any cruiser will get the job done. I can only really speak to my experience with Starfleet beam boats. It's worth considering getting the C-Store version here because its traits (depending on your faction) are pretty good too.ĭoes it have to be Romulan? I'm not an expert by any means, but I find their singularity cores to be kind of limiting when it comes to maintaining high power levels to weapons. The Temporal Warships (versions exist for every faction which are essentially just copypastes when it comes to stats) and their fleet versions are excellent choices as well with 5/3 weapons, access to RS3 and five tactical consoles. The Da Vinci/Fleet Saber is a good choice as well and much more nimble but it lacks the fifth front weapon and gets an experimental weapon instead. If you don't have it yet, getting the C-Store Gagarin is a good idea because its trait Entwined Tactical Matrices is just that good. The Gagarin/Fleet Shepard is a great choice since it can slot all you need. Temporal ships are also a very good choice for access to Recursive Shearing which is very good for BO. A LtCmdr Intel seat is also nice for OSS but I'd say Miracle Worker is generally better. The Miracle Worker specialization is also very helpful for MAS and NSB. Buy it on sale, if possible.įor BO builds you'll generally want to use Dual Beam Banks to get the most boom out of your ship so 5 fore weapons are ideal. The Legendary Galaxy-X is a hot beam boat too, thanks to 5 weapons up front (and still 3 in the aft) and a hangar. Imho, the best option for a Romulan ship is the Morrigu. Pilot doesn't do as much for your damage as Intel or MW, but it can be fun) Viable options include the Fleet Hephaestus (its Command seating is better for Torps than beams, also 4/3 instead of the 5/3 of a typical battle cruiser), Fleet Akira Heavy Strike Wing Escort (4/3, but you gain a hangar.
Other good fleet options include the new Fleet Saber (though I'm disappointed it doesn't have 5 tactical console slots.) The Fleet Sovereign (although the 4/4 layout is a bit of a disadvantage, since you'll want to use BA's instead of DBB's, but you could do the Disco Rep DBB, 3 other DBB's with 2 Omni's, a KCB and the Dark Matter Torpedo in the rear if you must.) Both have great traits for Energy builds, so I recommend buying them in the store then getting the fleet ship after you've finished the ship mastery for it. Arbiter/Fleet Avenger is a popular platform too.
